Dana Bell, a founding member of the West Valley Mothers & More, and an active member and volunteer, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  Although she has undergone exstensive surgery and is receiving aggressive treatment, her battle is not over.  In her honor, and in honor of all women, we support breast cancer awareness.

Mothers & More is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of mothers through support, education and advocacy. We address mothers' needs as individuals and members of society, and promote the value of all the work mothers do.

Our chapter is structured to support a mother as she navigates the challenges of her daily life - whether she is a full-time family caregiver or struggling to achieve a better balance between the demands of paid work and family care. We are a dynamic group of women from all over the San Fernando Valley.

We provide opportunities for mothers to connect with one another in ways that assist them in developing their unique identities as women and help them move more confidently through the transitions that affect their family, work and life.

Chapter Meetings

Our chapter meeting is on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Tarzana Community & Cultural Center.  Infants 6 months and younger are welcome. Prospective members are welcome to attend three meetings as our guest before joining.

Future Meeting Schedule

Our real stories are about time. The time all mothers spend taking care of their families, the economic and social value of that time, the unpredictability of it, the invisibility of it, the way it changes our lives after we become mothers. It's about time that we come together to tell our stories loud and clear. Click the link below to view our chapter's slideshow movie tribute to the National 2005 Mothers Day Campaign created by Tammy Apana-Dianda.
